Sales do not tell the whole story

Revenue can rise because of stronger demand, better conversion, higher prices, discounting or heavier advertising. Those are very different situations. The useful question is not only “Did we sell more?” but also “Why did we sell more, and was it worth it?”

Look at sales with profit, ads and stock

A practical review should put sales beside advertising spend, margin or contribution where available, conversion and inventory. A product can look successful on revenue while using too much ad budget or creating a stock problem that hurts next month.

Focus on products, not just totals

Overall numbers can hide what is happening. Usually a smaller group of products is responsible for most of the movement. Finding those products makes it easier to decide where to increase spend, fix a listing, change price or protect stock.

End every report with actions

A report is useful when it makes the next step obvious. What should receive more budget? What needs a pricing review? Which product is at stock risk? Which issue needs the owner’s decision? That is where reporting starts to save management time.
