Good marketing can create a stock problem

Advertising and promotions can move demand quickly, while suppliers and freight cannot always react as fast. If the team cannot see stock risk early, a successful campaign can push a product out of stock just when momentum is strongest.

Forecasts help you prepare, not predict perfectly

A forecast is a planning tool. It should use recent sales, seasonality, promotions, supplier lead times and upcoming launches to show likely demand and possible risk. The goal is better preparation, not pretending the future is certain.

Spend should follow stock reality

There is little value in aggressively increasing ad spend on a product that is close to running out. Likewise, slower stock may need a different promotion or pricing plan. Advertising and inventory decisions work better when they share the same information.

Earlier warnings create more options

Low stock, delayed supply and unexpected demand are easier to handle when they are spotted early. Weekly visibility gives the team time to adjust campaigns, promotions, replenishment or product priorities before the problem becomes urgent.
